The Other Room
The title of this website was inspired by a friend who often spoke of a poem that she knew of when the topic of spirituality came up. She would always bring up the words “the other room” when talking about where our loved ones go, or where they are, after they pass away. It turns out that the poem is called Death Is Nothing At All, and was written by Henry Scott-Holland. There is a line in the poem with the words “the next room.” My friend always used the words “the other room,” so that is what has always been in my mind.
When I mentioned this possible title to Robyn, she not only liked it, she said she loved it! When I heard that, I realized that we had the name for the website. The fact that Robyn has been a Medium and spiritual guide for over 21 years and loved this idea for the title and theme of the site spoke volumes to me. It perfectly encompasses what we both know is the case – our friends and relatives are only gone in physical form, but are still around, even though we can no longer see them. That’s not to say that the spirit and soul of our loved ones is not in heaven. It is, but they can also choose if they would like to be on this side or the other side.
They can choose if they want to visit or if they would rather be somewhere else. This is evidenced by the well-known signs such as lights turning off or on, radios or televisions doing the same, or other electrical phenomena. If we are open enough to be aware of these signs, we will know our loved ones who have passed are still around and often nearby, just in The Other Room.

“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”
-Nikola Tesla
